During Toronto's pandemic struggles, Barbra-Joi Mitchell, a resilient caterer whose business had faltered, found inspiration on a transformative hike with friends. Her passion for uplifting spirits, fueled by her own battles with bipolar disorder, led her to launch Picnics in the 6ix—a luxury picnic company. Her venture quickly gained fame, offering unique, joy-filled picnic experiences across the city.
Now, after five successful seasons, Picnics in the 6ix is evolving into a DIY events company while still servicing beautiful full service events. Our new budget-friendly, sustainable packages allow you to create your own memorable celebrations. We provide everything needed for a perfect event while reflecting our commitment to affordability and eco-consciousness.
